Dr. Grand is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a PhD from International University, and is renowned for his groundbreaking discoveries and advancements in the arenas of healing trauma and enhancing performance and creativity. His Brainspotting method and BioLateral Sound are now used by thousands of therapists on every continent seeking to break through the limitations of talk therapy. Dr. Grand has a roster of clients that include many successful television, film and stage actors, professional athletes, business leaders, and survivors of profound traumas (including 9/11,Katrina and Iraq/Afghanistan combat veterans) who have sought his powerful methods out as a means to realize the kind of personal, professional and creative breakthroughs they long for most.

Marie-José Boon is an acclaimed therapist practicing in Amsterdam, Netherlands. From 2011 she studied with David Grand, founder of Brainspotting and assists him in international training. Marie-José Boon introduced Brainspotting to the Netherlands and Belgium and now works internationally as Brainspotting supervisor, trainer and practitioner. .
Her interest in Brainspotting was aroused when it was found that clients sometimes continue to struggle with the same issues, which hinder them in everyday life and work. Brainspotting offers the opportunity to be reached in the brains those areas mainly, where one normally has no influence on the cognition. That makes Brainspotting an extremely effective method to solve stubborn blockages and traumas.
Marie-José Boon is passionate about Brainspotting and a wonderful teacher. Her attunement to her client and the process speaks volumes about the fundamental role the therapist plays in the clients healing process.
Marie-José first visited South-Africa in 2016 to present a Phase I and Phase II training. She returned in June 2018 to present the first 3 day Phase II training in South- Africa.

Marise Swart is a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice in Hatfield, Pretoria. She is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, or SEP and Certified Brainspotting Therapist. Marise is also trained in EMDR and Ego-State Therapy and BWRT.
Marise started her Brainspotting journey in 2016, when David Grand presented this first Phase 1 training in South Africa. Later that year she attended the Phase 2 training presented by International Brainspotting trainer, Marie-José Boon from the Netherlands.
In November 2016, Marise assisted Marie-José Boon in the second Phase I training presented in Pretoria. She then traveled to Amsterdam in June 2017 to attend the Phase 3 training resented by David Grand and Damir del Monte.
In October 2017 David Grand invited Marise to attend the training-for-trainers in Manhattan, New York, USA. Marise completed her Intensive training in March 2019 and Phase 4 training in June 2019 in the Netherlands. Marise traveled to Vienna, Austria in January 2020 to attend the Brainspotting with Children and Adolescence workshop.
Marise is a registered and qualified trainer for Sothern Africa.
